One Full Time Position

We are currently looking for one full time Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. Part time, weekend and evening applicants will be taken in to consideration depending on experience. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team. Start date is flexible.

The position would suit a keen and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist looking to work as part of a friendly and supportive team. The Speech and Language Therapist will be working with a paediatric caseload. Formal supervision is provided for all our staff members.

· Applications will only be accepted from CORU registered SLTs.

 · You must hold independent professional indemnity insurance, as this is no longer part of IASLT membership.

● Sufficient command of English language

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills

● Skilled at building and maintaining working relationships

·       Have 1-2 years’ experience working with a paediatric caseload

What will my key responsibilities be?

● Paediatric caseload management in accordance with professional standards: assessment, diagnosis, planning, documentation, implementation and evaluation of intervention programmes for SpeakAbout.

● Maintenance of all professional standards of practice as required by CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council)

● Building and maintaining close working relationships with parents, caregivers, colleagues and other relevant professionals in maximising client potential.

● Seeking out appropriate training for and participation in mandatory and recommended training programmes.

● Contribution to the development and implementation of procedures, policies and guidelines while adhering to existing standards and protocols.

● Contribution to the development of relevant social media content.

● Seek advice and assistance with any assigned cases or issues that prove to be beyond the scope of the therapist’s professional competence in line with principles of best practice.

● Implementation of other duties as assigned by the team manager.

 ● Engagement with reflective practice and supervision with a designated supervisor.

● Engagement with planning and performance reviews as required by the team manager.
